Learn how to
make a variety of different types of twisted stems and create your
own unique twisted wire style tiara or aliceband design. You will
be working with beads, wire and plated components.
There are also
optional designs later in the afternoon - making either a twisted
wire style haircomb or hairgrips / hairpins.
The designs
accommodate different skill levels, as each design can be made using
basic skills, but can be developed further by students with intermediate
wire skills and students can choose their own level of work depending
on how easy they find the techniques.
Twisting
wire is a bit fiddly and quite tiring for fingers/hands, take a
break when you need one and look at some of the tiara examples,
magazines / books or see what the rest of the group have made.
