This class is
suitable for both beginners and students that have attended any
of the beads and wire courses
You will be
creating jewellery with beads, tigertail thread and plated components
Morning
- Intro to
tigertail threads and crimps
- Intro to
using tigertail thread to create a pair of beaded earrings and
practise using crimps
- Intro to
using tigertail thread to create a beaded bracelet, different
pattern designs, tips, followed by practise session
- Intro to
finishing off the bracelet, different types of fasteners, how
to add a fastener using jump rings, tips, followed by practise
session
- Intro to
further beaded earring designs, tips, followed by practice session
Afternoon
- Intro to
braiding tigertail thread to create a beaded bracelet, alternative
designs, followed by practise session
- Intro to
making crimped bead section necklace designs, alternative designs,
tips, followed by practise session
- Completing
unfinished jewellery items
- Intro to
other types of jewellery courses on offer and course feedback
The
day course includes:
many demos, examples, some handouts, opportunity for questions and
answers, practical work and 1-1 tutor assistance. |

Materials are
available and can be purchased on the course (approx £5 -
£10, depending on the beads chosen) or you are welcome to
bring any of your own materials with you.
