This class is
a beginner level class. Although students that already have some
wire jewellery making skills, may wish to attend to practise their
loops and learn how to make a variety of charm style designs.
You will be
creating a range of jewellery with beads, chain and plated components.
Morning
- Intro to
the tools, beads and components
- Intro to
the technique used to create a basic loop
- Intro to
making a basic pair of earrings using components and beads
- Intro to
making a bag charm or pendant
- Intro to
basic charm bracelet / necklace designs, different types of chains/clasps,
how to attach a clasp using jump rings
Afternoon
- Intro to
more complex charm bracelet designs
- Intro to
a range of further charm style jewellery designs, ie. earrings,
pendants etc
- Opportunity
to work further on any of the designs that have been covered during
the day
- Completing
any unfinished jewellery pieces
- Intro to
other types of jewellery courses on offer and course feedback
The
day course includes:
some demos, examples, handouts, opportunity for questions and answers,
practical work and 1-1 tutor assistance |
