This class is
a follow-on wire skills class, suitable for students that have attended
a beginner beads and wire course (or have some self-taught basic
wire skills) and feel reasonably confident using the tools
You will be
creating jewellery with beads, wire and plated components
Morning
- Intro to
different types of wire
- Intro to
techniques used to create a range of basic spirals (alternative
headpins or dangles)
- Intro to
variation designs (heart, triangle, freeform, bead in middle)
- Intro to
incorporating these spiral pieces into jewellery designs
- Intro to
connector spiral designs and incorporating these pieces into jewellery
designs
Afternoon
- Intro to
creating spiral cages for beads or gem tumblestones and incorporating
these pieces into jewellery designs
- Further spiral
jewellery designs
- Opportunity
to work further on any of the designs that have been covered during
the day
- Completing
any unfinished piece of jewellery
- Intro to
other types of jewellery courses on offer and course feedback
The
day course includes:
many demos, examples, some handouts, opportunity for questions and
answers, practical work and 1-1 tutor assistance. |
